AI content policy

Last updated

pitchboom makes ads with AI. These rules keep those ads honest, lawful and safe, for the people who watch them and for the brands that run them.

1. How pitchboom videos are made

Every pitchboom video is AI-assisted: a language model writes the script and the storyboard from your link and brief, a synthetic voice reads the voice-over, the music bed is generated by our code, and motion-design templates animate your texts, logos, screenshots and photos (and, where a scene needs it, an AI-generated illustration). pitchboom doesn't film anything and doesn't use stock footage.

You review and approve the storyboard before rendering, and you are the author and publisher of the ads you run. Public gallery pages say that a video was made with pitchboom, and their structured data marks it as composed with AI-generated media.

2. What it's for

Ads and promotional videos for products, services, apps, games, events and organisations you are entitled to promote: your own, your employer's, or your clients' with their permission. Product demos, explainers, launches, recruiting and brand videos.

3. What you can't make

  • Deception: false or unsubstantiated claims (health cures, guaranteed income or returns, fake scarcity), fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements, prices or offers you don't honour.
  • Impersonation: ads that pretend to come from a brand, a person or an authority you don't represent; using someone's name, face or voice without permission; misleading use of trademarks.
  • Infringement: logos, images, texts, fonts or music you don't have the right to use.
  • Prohibited or restricted products: illegal goods and services, weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, adult services, gambling or financial products where unlicensed or unlawful for the audience.
  • Harmful content: sexual content, content sexualising minors (reported to the authorities), violence or gore, hate or harassment, content that encourages self-harm or dangerous acts.
  • Political and electoral ads that don't follow the rules of the platform and the country where they run, and any election disinformation.
  • Personal data of people who haven't agreed to appear in your ad.
  • Spam and scams: phishing, malware links, deceptive landing pages.

4. Advertising platforms have their own rules

TikTok, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, Apple, Google and others review ads and store media against their own policies. A video that is acceptable on pitchboom can still be refused by a platform; we don't guarantee approval. Read the policies of the platforms you advertise on.

5. Public videos and moderation

Videos are public in the gallery by default (you can make them private, see the privacy policy). Public videos are watch-only for everyone but their creator: nobody else can download them, and visitors stream a lighter preview through short-lived links. We protect original files, but anything that can be watched can be screen-recorded.

Public videos go through automatic checks and can be reviewed by our team. A video can be held from the gallery while it is reviewed, hidden (it stays in its creator's account), or deleted when the law requires it. Repeated or serious violations lead to account suspension. If we act on your video we tell you why, and you can reply to contest the decision.

6. Reporting a video

Every public video page has a “Report” button (sign-in required). Reasons you can choose:

  • Copyright: It uses my music, footage, images or text without permission.
  • Brand or impersonation: It uses a brand or a logo it doesn't own, or pretends to be someone.
  • Misleading claims: Health, money or “guaranteed results” claims that mislead people.
  • Sexual content: Nudity or sexual content.
  • Violence: Violent, graphic or dangerous content.
  • Hate or harassment: Attacks people for who they are, or harasses someone.
  • Personal data: It shows someone's private information.
  • Spam or scam: Spam, scams or deceptive links.
  • Something else: Tell us what's wrong in a few words.

Copyright and trademark holders without an account can send a notice to hello@pitchboom.io with the link of the video, the work or mark concerned, proof of their rights and their contact details. We act promptly on valid notices and tell the creator, who can respond.
