Product
What is pitchboom.io?
pitchboom.io is an AI motion-design studio for video ads. Paste a product URL or a short brief, pick the goal, platform and length, and it writes the script, builds an editable storyboard, adds a voice-over and music, and renders motion-design videos in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 3:4 (MP4, 1080p; 4K on Pro and Premium). You can add screenshots, product photos and a Brand Kit (logo, colors, fonts, tone). More on the about page.
How does pitchboom make a video?
In five steps. Paste a link or a brief. Choose a goal (7 of them), a platform preset (8), a length, a quality, a language, a voice and a music mood. Review the storyboard and edit it for free. Approve it. Download the MP4 once it is rendered. Website analysis costs 0 credits, and every paid step shows its price before you confirm. Details: how it works.
Can I edit the video before it is rendered?
Yes. You get a storyboard first: scenes, on-screen texts, voice-over script, call to action, voice and music. Editing it (texts, voice-over, scene order, durations, scenes, voice, music, pace) costs 0 credits, and so do low-resolution previews. The voice-over, music and render run only once you approve it. After the render, some edits are free and the others are quoted before they run.
Does pitchboom use AI avatars, actors or stock footage?
No. pitchboom makes motion design: your texts, logos, screenshots, product photos and Brand Kit, animated scene by scene, with an AI-generated illustration where a scene needs one. There is no presenter, no AI actor and no stock footage. If you need a person on screen, an avatar or UGC tool fits better: see motion design vs UGC vs avatar ads.
What is the difference between Standard and Studio?
Standard lays your product out in pitchboom's library of scene templates, with the script and an art-director review on Claude Opus, at 13 credits per second. Studio adds a director who plans every shot and custom scenes built for your product, at 100 credits per second, on paid plans. Free accounts make Standard videos.
Can pitchboom show my real app interface?
Yes. By default it uses screenshots of your site and the images you upload. On a paid plan you can also connect your product's source code (a GitHub repository, an uploaded folder, or from Claude Code) so the scenes rebuild your real screens, for a surcharge (with your code: Standard +10, Studio +20 credits per second). Connecting code is optional, it is deleted on the date you choose, and it is never used to train AI models. See code to product video.
Does pitchboom publish my ads?
No. pitchboom makes the video; you download the MP4 and upload it to TikTok, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn or wherever you advertise. It doesn't connect to your ad accounts or spend media budget.
Will the ad platforms approve my ads?
Nobody can promise that: each platform reviews every ad against its own advertising policies, including your product, your claims and your landing page. pitchboom's platform presets keep texts and logos out of the zones the app's interface covers and export a standard MP4, but approval and performance depend on you and the platform.
Pricing and credits
Is pitchboom free to try?
Yes: Every new account gets 500 free credits at signup, no card required (about one 30-second Standard video), then plans from €30 a month (excl. VAT) with monthly credits. Free accounts make Standard videos up to 30 seconds in 1080p, one at a time. The 500 free credits are a one-time grant, not a free monthly plan: once they are spent, creating videos needs a subscription (Starter €30, Pro €99, Premium €300 per month, excl. VAT), and every plan includes credits each month. Website analysis, storyboard edits and low-resolution previews cost 0 credits; everything else shows its price before you confirm.
How much does a video cost?
Videos are priced per second by quality: Standard 13, Studio 100 credits per second, with the storyboard, voice-over, music and 1080p render included. A 30-second Standard video is 390 credits (about €3.90 at the Starter rate, €3.12 on Premium); a 30-second Studio video is 3,000 credits (about €30.00 at the Starter rate, €24.00 on Premium). Videos shorter than 15 seconds are billed as 15. Studio videos are billed on at least 20 s; with screens rebuilt from your code, the code surcharge is billed on at least 30 s.
What do the paid plans include?
Starter, €30 a month: 3,000 credits, videos up to 60 seconds, batches of up to 3 videos, 3 Brand Kits, 1080p; Pro, €99 a month: 11,000 credits, videos up to 90 seconds, batches of up to 10 videos, 15 Brand Kits, 4K with a per-second surcharge, the MCP server; Premium, €300 a month: 37,500 credits, videos up to 120 seconds, batches of up to 25 videos, 50 Brand Kits, 4K included, the MCP server. Prices exclude VAT. A credit is worth €0.01 at the Starter rate, 10% less on Pro and 20% less on Premium. Compare them on the pricing page.
How do credits work?
Every paid action shows an estimate first. When you confirm, the estimate is held from your balance; each finished step consumes its share, and whatever isn't used is released when the job ends. If a render fails on our side, the credits it consumed are refunded automatically. Monthly credits roll over, top-up packs (for subscribers) stack on top, and credits don't expire while your account is open.
What happens if a render fails?
If a video fails on our side (a provider outage, a render crash, a failed quality check), the credits it consumed are refunded automatically and you can retry. If you cancel, you pay only for the steps already finished; the rest of the hold is released.
Can I cancel or change my plan?
Yes. Cancel in two clicks from the billing portal: the plan runs until the end of the month you paid for, then stops renewing, and your credits stay on your balance. Upgrades apply right away (you pay the prorated difference and get the matching credits); downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
Can I get a refund?
EU consumers can withdraw from a purchase (a first subscription payment or a top-up pack) within 14 days by email, as long as no credits from that purchase have been used. Credits used by a render that fails on our side are refunded automatically. Otherwise started months and top-up packs are not refunded, except where the law requires it or if we charged you by mistake. Details: refunds and credits policy.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT, which is added at checkout based on your location. Businesses in the EU can enter their VAT number for reverse charge. Every payment comes with an invoice.
Formats, lengths and languages
Which formats and sizes does pitchboom export?
16:9 (1920×1080), 9:16 (1080×1920), 1:1 (1080×1080), 4:5 (1080×1350), 3:4 (1080×1440), as MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio; 30 fps, 60 fps in Studio). Each format is laid out for its own frame, not cropped, and the platform presets keep texts and logos out of the zones each app's interface covers. The platforms' own rules are in the video ad specs guide.
How long can a video be?
From 6 to 120 seconds. The longest video depends on the plan: 60 seconds on Starter, 90 seconds on Pro and 120 seconds on Premium, and 30 seconds with the free signup credits. For what works on each platform, see the TikTok ads and Instagram Reels pages.
Does pitchboom export 4K?
Yes, on Pro (+4 credits per second) and Premium (included). Starter and free accounts export 1080p. A 4K export of a finished video is quoted before it runs.
Can I get the same video in other formats?
Yes. A format variant recomposes every scene for the new aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4): texts and images are laid out again, not cropped. It is a priced operation quoted before you confirm: a 15-second Standard variant is 42 credits.
Can I translate a video?
Yes, into 34 languages: a translation keeps the edit and the visuals, writes the new script, records a new voice-over and re-times the captions. A 15-second Standard translation is 83 credits, quoted before you confirm.
Can I make several videos at once?
Yes, on a plan: one brief can produce a batch of independent videos, up to 3 on Starter, 10 on Pro and 25 on Premium. Each video of a batch has its own estimate and its own hold on your credits. Free accounts make one video at a time.
Rights and privacy
Can I use the videos in paid ads?
Yes. The videos you make are yours to use in your own marketing, paid ads included, on any platform. The default music bed is generated by our own code, so there is no third-party track to license. You stay responsible for what you put in a video: claims, logos, product photos and trademarks you upload or describe (see the content policy).
Who owns the videos?
You do: publish them anywhere you like. You stay responsible for what you put in them (claims, logos, product photos and trademarks you upload or describe), as the AI content policy explains.
Are my videos public?
By default, a finished video is listed in the public pitchboom gallery with its own page that search engines can index. Anyone can watch it there, nobody but you can download it. You can make any video private from the editor or the results page, and set private as your account default in settings (useful for client work or unreleased launches). We protect the original files, but anything that can be watched can be screen-recorded.
Are pitchboom videos labelled as AI-generated?
Every pitchboom video is AI-assisted: a language model writes the script and the storyboard, a synthetic voice reads the voice-over, and motion-design templates animate your material. Public gallery pages say that a video was made with pitchboom, and their structured data marks it as composed with AI-generated media. Disclosure rules of the platforms you advertise on still apply to you.
Where is my data stored and processed?
Accounts, projects, videos and renders are stored and processed in the EU (Supabase and Railway). The AI providers that analyse pages, write scripts and record voice-overs are US companies, used under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; they receive the content each request needs, never your billing data. Personal data is never sold. Full list: privacy policy.
What happens to the source code I connect?
Secrets and personal data are removed first. The filtered code is encrypted with its own key and stored in the EU; it is processed on pitchboom's EU servers and by Anthropic (United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses), never by another AI provider, never shown or published, and never used to train AI models. It is deleted on the date you pick when you connect it, or at once with Delete now in your settings. Rendered videos and saved Brand Kits stay.
MCP server and API
Does pitchboom have an MCP server or an API?
Yes: an MCP server at https://pitchboom.io/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP) lets AI assistants create, edit, translate and download pitchboom videos. It is included on Pro and Premium (from €99 a month) and uses personal API keys created in your account settings; there is no OAuth sign-in yet. Without one of these plans, a key can only read the credit balance, and videos are made in the web app. Setup: MCP docs.
Can an AI agent spend my credits without my approval?
No. Creating a project, asking for an estimate or a variant only returns a quote. Credits are held only when the quote is confirmed (confirm_operation), or when a storyboard is approved within the total you accepted (approve_storyboard), and Claude Code asks you before each of them. A quote that isn't confirmed in time expires. You can also give a key the "No spending" or "Read only" permissions.
Which AI clients work with the pitchboom MCP server?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP with a bearer key: Claude Code (and Claude Desktop through its Code tab), Cursor, VS Code and Codex CLI each take one command or config entry. Other clients can connect through the mcp-remote bridge. The setup for each one is in the MCP docs, and a walk-through is in make videos with MCP.
Company
Who makes pitchboom.io?
Arsène Huot, its solo founder, builds it in Paris. The service is operated by THE VIBECODING AGENCY, a French SARL (RCS Paris 108 800 616 (SIRET 108 800 616 00014)). More on the about page.
How does pitchboom compare with other AI video ad tools?
It depends on the video you need. pitchboom makes motion-design ads from your site; avatar tools put a presenter on screen, UGC tools imitate creator videos, and design tools leave the animation to you. The comparisons and alternatives pages set inputs, outputs and published prices side by side, with the date each was read, and say where the other tool is the better choice.
How do I contact pitchboom?
Email hello@pitchboom.io: support, billing, privacy requests, press and partnerships go to the same address. Company details are on the about page.
