Your code, turned into a product video

pitchboom.io, an AI motion-design studio for video ads, can read your app's source code and rebuild its real screens as animated scenes, so a product video shows your actual interface, including screens behind a login that a URL can't reach. Upload a folder or zip in the web app, or send it from Claude Code. It is on paid plans and adds Standard +10, Studio +20 credits per second to the video's price.

What changes when the video is made from your code?

A URL gives pitchboom screenshots of your public pages. Your code gives it the interface itself: components, design tokens, fonts, logos, icons, copy and routes. Claude (Anthropic's model) rebuilds the screens you pick as video scenes, which run in an isolated, offline renderer, so the interface can animate instead of sitting in a still screenshot.

How do you connect your code?

  1. 1. Send the code

In the web app, drop your project folder or a zip. It is packed in your browser: node_modules, .git, build output and secret files (.env, keys) never leave your computer, and the pack can be up to 50 MB. From Claude Code, with the pitchboom MCP server connected (Pro and Premium), ask for a pitchboom video of the app: Claude asks you before any code leaves your machine, then packs only git-tracked files.

  2. 2. Choose how long it is kept

1, 7, 30 or 90 days (30 by default). "Delete now" in Settings, Connected code, removes it at any time.

  3. 3. Let the analysis run

It is free and takes about a minute. Secrets and personal data are removed first; then pitchboom reads the design system, fonts, logos, copy, routes and the components that can be shown.

  4. 4. Pick the screens

Let the AI pick them or choose yourself: up to 2 screens in a Standard video, 6 in a Studio one.

  5. 5. Approve the estimate, then the storyboard

The estimate shows the code line on its own. As with every video, you edit the storyboard for free, and nothing is rendered until you approve it.

What does a video made from your code cost?

The analysis is free. The video costs its usual per-second price plus a code line: Standard +10, Studio +20 credits per second, billed on at least 30 s because rebuilding the screens costs about the same for a short film as for a long one. The line is charged only when your screens appear in the video, and in a batch only the first video carries it: the others reuse its screens.

What happens to your code?

  • Before an AI model reads anything, secret files (.env, keys, credentials) are dropped, and secrets found in the code (API keys, tokens, passwords) and personal data in sample files are removed.
  • The filtered code is encrypted with a key of its own (AES-256-GCM) and stored in the EU. No pitchboom page or admin tool can open or download it.
  • It is processed on pitchboom's servers in the EU and by Anthropic (United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses), which writes the scenes. It is never sent to another AI provider, never used to train AI models, never shown to anyone and never published.
  • On the date you chose, or when you press Delete now, its key is destroyed and the stored code is deleted. Saved Brand Kits and rendered videos stay; for videos with rebuilt screens, the compiled scenes needed to edit or re-render them stay, encrypted, until the video is deleted.
  • Videos made from code start private. The details are in the privacy policy.

When is a URL or screenshots the better choice?

  • The screens that matter are public pages: start from your link, and the price has no code line.
  • You are using the free signup credits: code is on paid plans, so start from your link or a brief.
  • Your front end isn't React. Screens are rebuilt from React components (Next.js, Vite, Remix, React Router and similar); for Vue, Svelte, Angular or Astro the analysis flags the framework, and screenshots are the safer input.
  • You can't share the code. Uploading screenshots of the logged-in screens works without it.
  • You need footage of the real app in use, with live data: pitchboom doesn't film or screen-record, it rebuilds screens as motion design.

Questions

Do I need to connect my code to make a product video?

No. Most videos start from a URL or a brief. Code helps when the screens that matter are behind a login, or when you want the interface itself to move rather than a screenshot.

Is my source code used to train AI models?

No. It is processed on pitchboom's servers in the EU and by Anthropic (United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses) to write the scenes, never used to train AI models, never shown or published, and deleted after the period you choose.

Which frameworks work?

Screens are rebuilt from React components: Next.js (App or Pages Router), Vite with React, Remix, React Router and Create React App projects. For Vue, Svelte, Angular or Astro, the analysis flags the framework; a URL or screenshots then work better.

Can I connect a private repository?

Yes: upload it as a folder or zip in the web app, or send it from your local checkout with Claude Code (MCP server, Pro and Premium). Public GitHub repositories can also be imported by URL from the MCP server.

Are videos made from my code public?

They start private, whatever your account default. You can make one public later if you want it in the gallery.
