Instagram Reels ads
Reels ads that feel like Reels.
Make vertical Instagram Reels ads from your website or a brief: a hook in the first second, captions placed clear of the Reels interface, your Brand Kit on every frame and a music bed made for the cut. A 15-second Studio Reel is 120 credits.

Same brief, three tiers.
Rendered by the pitchboom pipeline from pitchboom's own source code with one brief: 9:16, 1080p, English, voice “Guy”. Only the quality tier changes. Click one to watch it with sound.

TV spots die in Reels
People swipe past anything that looks like a commercial break. A horizontal spot letterboxed into a vertical screen is the fastest swipe of all.
The Reels interface also covers the bottom and the right of the frame: the caption, the buttons and your handle sit exactly where most templates put the call to action.
Vertical from the first frame
Built in 9:16
Scenes are laid out for a phone held upright: big type, one idea per beat, the product centred.
Clear of the interface
The Reels preset keeps texts and logos out of the zones the app covers, so nothing important hides behind a button.
Fast, readable type
Kinetic headlines and word stacks make the message readable in the time it takes to swipe.
Music that ducks
A music bed generated for the cut, lowered automatically under the voice-over.

Preset values checked on October 18, 2026. Platform rules change: check the Meta Ads Guide before you upload.
- Reels ads run full screen in 9:16; the app overlays the caption, the profile and the action buttons on the lower part and the right side.
- Trending sounds and licensed music are added in Instagram, not in pitchboom.
1. Paste your link or brief
Paste your product page or website, or describe what you sell in two lines. Add your Brand Kit and any screenshots or product photos.
2. Pick the goal and the format
Choose the sales goal, the 9:16 / 4:5 format and a length between 10 and 30 seconds; pick the Studio tier or another one.
3. Approve the storyboard
Read the storyboard scene by scene. Edit on-screen texts and voice-over lines for free, then approve the estimate.
4. Render and download
pitchboom records the voice-over, adds the music and renders a 1080p MP4. Download it and upload it where you advertise.
Example storyboard
10-second Reel for a cold-brew coffee brand
9:16 · 10 s · Studio · 120 credits
An example of the storyboard pitchboom writes before anything is rendered: scenes, on-screen text, motion and voice-over. You can rewrite any line or swap a scene for free, then approve.
Scene 1, 0:00–0:02, Hook. On screen: “Coffee, but faster.”. Motion · Kinetic headline slams in on the brand pink.
VO · Coffee, but faster.
Scene 2, 0:02–0:05, Feature. On screen: “Cold brew in 10 seconds”. Motion · Product hero: the can rises with a slow push-in.
VO · Cold brew in ten seconds. Just add ice.
Scene 3, 0:05–0:08, Offer. On screen: “12 cans · €19”. Motion · Price tag: the sticker drops onto the pack shot.
VO · Twelve cans, nineteen euros.
Scene 4, 0:08–0:10, Call to action. On screen: “Order at brewbot.co”. Motion · End card: logo and the URL pill, above the Reels caption zone.
VO · Order at brewbot dot co.
Angles that work
The one-word hook
One big word on screen in the first frame, then the sentence that explains it.
“Faster.” → “Cold brew in ten seconds.”
The point-of-view caption
Write the hook like a Reels caption people already use. It reads native, not like an ad.
“POV: your 9 a.m. meeting moved to 8.”
The three-reasons stack
Three short reasons, one per beat, then the offer. Easy to follow without sound.
“No sugar. No machine. No wait.”
What it costs
| What | Credits | At the Starter rate | On Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| One 10-second video · Studio · 1080p | 120 | €1.20 | €0.96 |
| A batch of 3 takes (10 s each) | 360 | €3.60 | €2.88 |
| A format variant of it (recomposed) | 42 | €0.42 | €0.34 |
| A translation of it (new voice-over and captions) | 63 | €0.63 | €0.50 |
| 4K instead of 1080p, on Pro (€0.54 at the Pro rate) | 60 | Not on Starter | Included |
Credits come with your plan (Starter €30/month, 3,000 credits · Pro €99/month, 11,000 credits · Premium €300/month, 37,500 credits, excl. VAT). Videos shorter than 15 seconds are billed as 15. Every paid action shows an estimate first. When you confirm, the estimate is held from your balance; each finished step consumes its share, and whatever isn't used is released when the job ends. If a render fails on our side, the credits it consumed are refunded automatically.
Fair questions.
What size is an Instagram Reels ad?
Reels are vertical 9:16. pitchboom exports them at 1080×1920 as 1080p MP4 files (H.264, AAC, 30 fps), with texts kept out of the areas the Reels interface covers.
Do Reels ads need captions?
Many people start Reels with the sound off, so burned-in captions help the message land. pitchboom adds word-timed captions in your brand font by default; you can turn them off per video.
Can I use trending audio?
Not inside pitchboom: videos get a voice-over and an original music bed generated by our own code. If your account can use a trending sound, add it in Instagram when you publish.
How much does a 15-second Reels ad cost?
A 15-second video at the Studio tier is 120 credits: storyboard, voice-over, music and the 1080p MP4 render included (€1.20 of credits at the Starter rate, €0.96 on Premium). Credits come with your plan: Starter €30/month for 3,000 credits, Pro €99/month for 11,000 credits, Premium €300/month for 37,500 credits (excl. VAT). You see the estimate before you confirm; it is held, each finished step uses its share, and what isn't used goes back to your balance.
Will Instagram approve the ad?
Nobody can promise that: Instagram reviews every ad against its own advertising policies, including your product, your claims and your landing page. pitchboom keeps texts and logos out of the zones the app's interface covers and exports a standard 1080p MP4 (H.264, AAC, 30 fps), but approval and performance depend on you and the platform.
Are my videos public?
By default, a finished video is listed in the public pitchboom gallery with its own page that search engines can index. Anyone can watch it there, nobody but you can download it. You can make any video private from the editor or the results page, and set private as your account default in settings (useful for client work or unreleased launches). We protect the original files, but anything that can be watched can be screen-recorded.
